Continental Outdoor Media won the out-of-home (OOH) category in this year’s MOST Awards, at a well-attended event in Johannesburg last night. The company have now won the OOH category for four out of five years.
Wag the Dog Publishers (publishers of The Media Magazine and the Media Online) have hosted their annual MOST Awards since its inception in 2009 and it is now well-established as an industry measure with sought-after accolades with media owners and media agencies ranking each other via independent research conducted by Brad Aigner of FGI (Freshly Ground Insights).
“Continental Outdoor Media had high ratings across all of the service criteria, but did particularly well in service delivery, an area in which they have improved from previous years,” commented Aigner.
Sandra Gordon, CEO of Wag the Dog Publishers and founder of the event, said, “The key purpose of the MOST Awards is to create a culture of service excellence among media owner sales and marketing teams and front line staff in media agencies. I know that they have used the MOST criteria in staff performance assessments and the results speak for themselves.”
Bazil Lauryssen, CEO of Continental Outdoor Media, said, “I would like to thank everyone on the Continental team for giving it their all to ensure that we deliver the optimum service to our clients and that we keep growing from strength to strength. We are honoured to have received this accolade from the industry and will strive to keep improving our service delivery and remain at the cutting-edge of what OOH has to offer, in line with global standards.”
Lelanie Butler, Sales Director of Continental Outdoor Media commented, “We have a team that believes in the product they are selling. We don’t see ourselves as selling billboards but as growing brands. We have a passionate and consistent team who listen to clients and understand what they are selling. We deliver on what we offer and provide the best service possible. It is an honour to receive this accolade and industry recognition.”
Over 200 media agencies and owners were rated and ranked in this year’s MOST Awards industry research, the biggest to date. A feature of this year’s MOST Awards was the increased participation by advertising clients who have direct contact with media owners.
